Cipralex Side Effects- Pathological Gambling, Weight Gain or Loss, Jaw Clenching, Headache and Chest Pain

Cipralex

Cipralex related heart attacks have caused concern among patients who are prescribed this medication. This particular side effect of the medication has also caused distress among family members of the deceased, when heart attacks lead to death.

Cipralex has a number of worrying side effects. Pathological gambling has been linked to some men and women who take the medication. Doctors have stated that Cipralex may be a possible culprit. Cipralex use may encourage some people to gamble.

As with any other medication, if you notice any changes in your behavior after starting Cipralex, you should let your doctor know immediately. People who feel more depressed and have a tendency to gamble while using Lexapro find that the extreme depression and urge to gamble go away after they quit taking the drug.

This drug is taken for anxiety and depression. It is known by a number of other names, including:

It is known that Cipralex causes a number of serious side effects. Perhaps you usually feel relaxed after taking a warm shower but after taking the drug, those little things still leave you feeling depressed. These vary from changes in mood and or perception to changes in the way that an anxiety patient’s body functions. Cipralex side effects include:

  • Aggression
  • Heart problems
  • Depression
  • Suicide
  • Sudden death
  • Intrauterine death

Doctors usually ask their patients to contact them if they notice that they have changes in mood or any of the other problems that are associated with taking Lexapro.

Unfortunately, sometimes people who are using this treatment for depression have a serious reaction to it within hours after taking it. There is no build up or time for patients to consider watching and waiting before calling their physician.

Trudy Schoger was a Cipralex patient. She took the tablets in order to help with her diagnosis but died from a heart attack. This happened within a few hours after she took her first dose of this medication.

Currently, doctors usually recommend that senior citizens take no more than 20 mg of the drug as their normal dosage. It is hoped that this Cipralex dosage in elderly patients will help to reduce the side effects that these persons experience while taking the medication.

Heart attack warning signs-women

You should contact emergency medical services without delay if you experience any of the following symptoms after taking Cipralex:

  • Pain in the shoulders
  • Pain in the neck
  • Pain in the chest

Both minor chest discomfort and excruciating pain can be symptoms of a heart attack. If you have minor chest pain while taking this anti depressant, you should never ignore it. Sometimes, patients have a tight squeezing sensation in the chest that comes and goes. Other typical heart attack symptoms are shortness of breath, lightheadedness and vomiting. The heart risks associated with Cipralex are significant. Speak with your doctor about these side effects.
